Over 1,000,000 Americans have died of COVID during the past 4-years. Only recently have our media outlets calmed their pandemic reporting and our government allowed life to return to a form of normalcy. Yet during that same 4-year period, over 2,000,000 Americans have died of another disease, and no one seems to be talking about it. 70 more Americans will die of this disease-one per minute. This pandemic is not new. It has grown to mammoth proportions in the last 50 years and tens of millions of Americans have died. One in two of us will eventually get cancer, and medical research is spending billions of dollars looking for new cancer approaches. Sadly, the funds go towards new drugs, or new lab tests, or surgical mechanical robots. There are elephants all over oncology exam rooms, yet a known cause of cancer has been ridiculed, proper research stalled, and this established cause, all but dismissed. Let me teach you what I know about this dreaded disease and given its propensity in my own family, what I am doing to try to prevent it.
