The snow lies here for a long time, the average annual temperature does not exceed +4 degrees, and there is almost always drizzle in the air. Due to strong winds (record 230 km/h), trees do not grow on Paramushir. However, brown bears feel great in such conditions.

🌋 Important fact: Paramushir is a volcanic island, home to more than 200 volcanoes! One of them, the Chikurachki volcano, is 1816 meters high and regularly erupts, creating incredible natural shows.
