Goldberg SHOOTS on WWE Booking Asuka Breaking Undefeated Streak

Bill Goldberg, WCW's Goldberg, was one of if not the biggest stars of the promotion during it's hottest period. His legendary undefeated streak is still a point of pride for him and the business to this day. In a recent interview, Goldberg opined that the WWE, in an attempt to bury his accomplishments, diminished his signature move, the spear, by handing it out to everyone and letting "some Japanese girl" eclipse the streak.

Asuka is the worker Bill is referring to in regards to breaking the streak. A legit wrestler who is one of the industries best wasn't getting buried for her part, but rather Goldberg was speaking on how petty WWE had been prior to their 2016 reconciliation. That has been well documented and now that the revelation of a botched retirement match has come to light, Bill is more than willing to shoot on his former employer during what journalists are calling a "hot period" for the business, metrics be damned!
