The tragedy of Nadia Vitel

52-year-old Nadia Vitel died from blunt force trauma after discovering two teenage squatters in her deceased mother's New York City apartment.

19-year-old Halley Tejada and 18-year-old Kensly Alston were arrested.

Reports say Vitel visited the apartment with the intention of preparing it for a family friend. Tejada and Alston were allegedly squatting in the apartment when Vitels arrived and killed her.

The two reportedly fled in their victim's Lexus and drove to New Jersey and then Pennsylvania, where they crashed near Harrisburg. They were arrested and extradited back to New York.

The victim's body was found in a duffel bag by her son.

Vitel was from Spain.
