5 Signs You Had A Traumatic Childhood (And Don't Realize It)

There are many types of childhood trauma that can range from events such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, physical neglect, emotional neglect, divorce, substance abuse, or mental illness. Difficulties such as trusting others, low self-esteem, fear of judgment, constant nightmares, or self-destructive behavior can be hidden signs that someone may have experienced trauma. Adults can experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder even if they have no clear memories of childhood trauma, according to research conducted by UCLA psychologists.

While you may recognize some of these signs in yourself or someone you know, it's best not to self-diagnose. Please contact a professional if you wish to receive treatment.

Hope it is useful. Thank You
