The IDF says fighter jets struck a Hezbollah manufacturing plant where weapons were stored in northeastern Lebanon's Baalbek overnight.

In response to the strike, Hezbollah fired a barrage of some 50 rockets at northern Israel.

The IDF says some of the rockets were intercepted by air defenses, while the rest struck open areas.

The rocket launchers used in the attack were struck a short while later, the IDF adds.
