1930's Mickey Mouse Club Theater ad

In the 1930's the original Mickey Mouse Clubs sprang up across America. At one point it was impossible for Walt's organization to keep up with all the charters. These clubs would meet locally in movie theaters, elect a Mickey and Minnie Mouse to lead them, sing the song Minnie's Yoo Hoo, and watch Mickey Mouse cartoons. They were sort of a Boy Scouts type club with members known as "Mickey Mice" and some continued to meet regularly right into the 1960's!
