PG Sittenfeld talks students' open mic night and Harry Black vs. Mayor John Cranley saga
To continue the national discussion on gun violence after last Wednesday's National School Walkout, City Councilman PG Sittenfeld is inviting students of all ages to an open mic night at City Hall. Students from across the Tri-State are invited to give their testimony and share their fears and policy wishes for addressing gun violence and school shootings. The event is at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cincinnati City Hall (801 Plum St.). A collection of officials from around the region, including school board members, state representatives, council members, university officials and more will be present. The first speaker of the evening will be a recent alumnus of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School -- the location of the recent tragic school shooting in Florida. All are welcome to attend, though the chance to speak will be specifically for students.
