Prosecutor: We had to TRUST the Post Office

Prosecutor David Teale tells the Post Office Inquiry 'We had to TRUST the Post Office' when submitting reports for proposed subpostmaster prosecutions to the Procurator Fiscal's office that they would accurately and comprehensively summarise the evidence in the report they submitted to support the prosecution.

He reveals how the Procurator Fiscal's office worked at the time including that a decision to prosecute would be taken based on the Post Office Investigators report alone without a review of the evidence available.
