Post Office Relationship was based upon 'Trust and Assumptions' David Teale, former Procurator Fiscal, tells the Post Office Inquiry.
He confirms that there were 'no safeguards' in place to ensure that the Post Office was aware of their responsibilities with regards to prosecuting subpostmasters and that there were no written guidance or protocols.
Both the Procurator Fiscal and the Post Office had to trust that each other knew what their responsibilities were and that they were completing them accordingly.
