Miraculous Methods

The wisdom in the Word of God is our best way to be navigated in times such as these where deception is so prevalent. We all have our preferred way, and it gets frustrating when our plans get messed up and we have to wait. We are used to getting things so quickly, as our worldly culture is disposable, and we don’t have to wait long for things.

God is teaching us patient endurance in times such as these where things don’t work quite as well. Airlines aren’t the same, you can wait all day for a flight to be cancelled. Grocery stores are not the same, a lot of your favorite things are out of stock and the less product for a more price has taken over the supermarket method. Medical is not the same, you have to wait weeks at a time just to get an appointment. Nothing works and frustration is a common occurrence in this cultural chaos of our time. Speaking of methods, God’s methods can be so frustrating, He is not doing things the usual way we think they should be done, His methods do not match our perfectly planned lives and tend to wreck havoc with our preplanned time schedule. Is God testing us? Is God teaching us, equipping us for times to come? We have been way to independent, doing things our own way at our own whim. We have not sought first the Kingdom of God. The Word says: Seek first the Kingdom of God and all things will be added to us. We need to learn all over again to seek God first in all of our ways, above our plans, the way we think things should go, above our preferred methods that are quick and easy! Seek first God’s Kingdom where everything is absolutely perfect, yet it takes time to work out that way.

The perfection of God’s timing and His very unusual methods, is always purposeful, and works out better for us than we could ever hope for or imagine. Why do we push back against God’s methods, when He knows us best and loves us most? God is probably the only ONE Who is wholly-holy for us, yet we spend more time complaining about His methods than praising His ingenuity and absolutely creative outcomes. Why do we continue to want our way, when we want it? Why can’t we wait? Why can’t we seek God first in all of our ways? Why are we frustrated with unusual methods that are a slow go when we know God’s track record and it is good? Our human condition rejects unusual methods that we can’t begin to wrap our minds around and cause us to lean out of what we know into something new. Maybe that is the point that God is making with His unusual methods, that we lean into way too much into our human condition instead of Seeking God First.

Our disposable, quick and easy cultural way influences us, creating an impatience when we have to wait as God plays out His methods of creating incredible outcomes. God has an endgame, we need to yield to Him, our plan, our time, our schedule, and our calendar. Putting God first, everything falls into place, in His perfect timing, through His unusual methods.

We have to work at somethings, put some effort into them as they are not handed to us in that quick, kind of disposable way that leads to really temporary solutions that are not all that good. Try it today. Seek God first, yield to His timing, embrace His unusual methods, have a great God Adventure, and know His perfection, know the incredible, miraculous purpose in His timing that comes forth out of God’s unusual methods that seemed a bit crazy at the time, but had a great endgame. God has never failed, God wins. Why do we doubt His ways? God is a winner! This is why we should always seek first His Kingdom, because He never fails, seek Him first, because His methods are miraculous in outcome, with more added to our lives than we could have ever hoped for or imagined. Seek God First!
