Holy Quran - Sura 72, Al-Jinn (The Jinn) - Recitation by Al-Afasi

Surah Al-Jinn is the 72nd surah (chapter) of The Glorious Quran. Name of the surah means The Jinn. It has 28 ayaat (verses) and was revealed in the holy city of Makkah i.e., before Prophet ﷺ migrated to the city of Medina. This surah can be found in juz / paara 29.

Introduction:

This Meccan sûrah gives an account of a group of jinn who fully submitted to the One True God as soon as they heard the Prophet's recitation of the Qurʾān. In comparison, the Arab pagans are criticized for their polytheistic beliefs. The pagans are told that the Prophet's duty is only to deliver the message. Bringing about the punishment, which the pagans demanded, is only within the power of Allāh. The next sûrah provides more warning to the pagans and reassurance to the Prophet ( ﷺ ) .
