Post Office Lawyer Jarnail Singh is accused of 'generating an air of detachment' during his testimony to the Post Office Inquiry where Jason Beer KC contrasts the words he is saying now with the statement that he provided to the Post Office Inquiry.
The Post Office Lawyer is keen to point out that he was part of a larger organisation and that maybe the Post Office 'wasn't capable' of handling the prosecutions of subpostmasters in hindsight.
Whilst apparently keen not to blame anyone else, the one mistake he identifies and takes responsibility for is that he relied too much on what others were telling him.
