Chinese humanoids will be ‘in every home’

A new robotics center in Beijing suggests that humanoid robots could soon become commonplace in households, utilizing AI and human-like body shapes.

This development is anticipated to bolster China’s technological competitiveness against the US.

While the recently established Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center has disclosed limited information about its latest project—a general-purpose humanoid robot prototype—it has assured that the robot will materialize “soon,” according to the South China Morning Post.

These robots are poised to address China’s diminishing labor force, supporting the nation’s efforts to enhance its growth drivers by leveraging new technology-led “productive forces,” the U.S. Sun reported.
