Crypto Fast Fact #1 - Bitcoin Moves First - Other Coins Follow

Fast Facts are five-minute lessons of important things all crypto traders need to know to be successful. This first one is the most important one of all. Bitcoin's chart is KING. It rules them all. When it goes up, most others do soon after, and down moves are the same. BTC moves all the Bitcoin blockchain based coins. BTC moves ETH and that moves the Ethereum blockchain coins.

I find it very useful whey day trading to have a BTC chart on the left, and a ETH chart on the right when trading ETH and most other coins I trade. Watching BTC gives you a few seconds or minutes advance warning of what your coin is most likely to do. When BTC moves up sharply, I buy ETH. When Bitcoin starts a flash crash, I usually have enough time to get out quickly and avoid a loss.
