Fujitsu confirm Horizon Audit Process was Prone to Error
Fujitsu confirm that the Horizon Audit Process was 'Prone to Error' in an internal change request document presented as evidence at the Post Office Inquiry.
Despite it being a change request for the Post Office's Horizon system, Fujitsu Manager Peter Sewell says that it is an internal Fujitsu document that he doesn't believe should be shared with the Post Office.
The change request highlights the ongoing issue with the Horizon audit process and this also seems to be a weakness in the proposed Horizon Online system for which a change request is raised.
When asked why the issue would not be addressed in legacy Horizon, Peter Sewell identifies costs and a lack of available resource for such a change.
