Anyone Can Be Anyone - My campaign to help survivors of trauma to be heard and to be seen.

It was Monday 28th November 2011, when I had planned to leave this world, but a thought had then consumed me and it's the reason I am still alive today.

To mark 12 years, I am starting my campaign and it's called 'Anyone Can Be Anyone' because regardless of your age, gender and so on, anyone can be a survivor and anyone can be a perpetrator.

Every survivor of trauma deserves to have their justice and also the right support that they need in order to process the trauma and injuries, so they can then build a new life where they don't find themselves continuously surviving.

In order for this to be achieved, I feel that it begins with social change and then it empowers political change. Without political change, there may as well not be a criminal justice system.

When we stand up together and refuse to stay silent, every voice that has struggled to be heard receives a safe space to finally speak and then be heard. I am now standing while speaking out and I can only wonder where life will take me next?

Finally, the way I have decided to empower both social and political change is by sharing my life lessons both on social media and in person.
