kta Kapoor, the acclaimed Indian TV producer and director, is set to remake the blockbuster Pakistani drama serial Tere Bin.
The original Tere Bin, which aired in 2023, starred Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi and garnered widespread acclaim in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and beyond.
The Indian remake, which is being produced by Kapoor's production company Balaji Telefilms, is expected to air on Colors TV in July 2024.
The cast of the Indian remake has not yet been announced, but reports suggest that actors Kanika Mann and Ayesha Singh are under consideration for the lead roles.
The original Tere Bin tells the story of Meerab (Yumna Zaidi), a young woman who is forced to marry Murtasim (Wahaj Ali), a man she does not love. The marriage is arranged by Meerab's father, who is in debt to Murtasim's father.
Meerab is initially unhappy in her marriage, but she eventually falls in love with Murtasim.However, their happiness is short-lived, as Murtasim is diagnosed with a terminal illness.
In a recent interview, Ekta Kapoor said that she was excited to be remaking Tere Bin.
"I'm a huge fan of the original show," she said. "It's a beautiful story with strong characters. I'm confident that our adaptation will be just as successful as the original."
