Why the Sun is not where we see it

The Sunlight takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds to reach the earth, plus the earth's atmosphere refracts the light when the sun is setting and rising, so it must travel through more of the atmosphere for another 2 minutes after the sun has gone down. That's why we can't see the Sun's real position!
When the Sun is overhead the atmosphere doesn't refract the light!
