Why is The WNBA Looking to Get Their Own TV Deal, Not Including the NBA? | @RRPSHOW

In 2024, the NBA will get a new TV Deal that is supposed to be worth $7 Billion. The WNBA usually receives a cut of that money because they are a subsidiary of the NBA. Due to the success of Women’s NCAA basketball and the potential arrival of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese to the WNBA in 2024, the WNBA believes they can now negotiate their own TV deal separate from the NBA. They also feel like the NBA deal gives the WNBA an unfair cut of the money and undervalues the WNBA.
