Rep. Cline: GOP budget proposal retains Hyde Amendment, barring federal funding of abortion

Representative Ben Cline (R-VA) says the Republican Study Committee FY 2025 budget proposal retains the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funds from going towards most abortions. “We just need to continue to explain that the Democrats are promoting extreme policies. Republicans are promoting a culture of life and ensuring that you get to keep your tax dollars and that they’re not used for abortions, domestically or internationally,” says Rep. Cline.
