Willow is by far the easiest wood to work with stone tools and bare hands. So pliable, you can tie it into a knot while green, yet becomes a very hard wood when made into tools and allowed to cure for a few days. it's bark contains natural aspirin, and it is an excellent choice for building shelter frames, bows, and fire kits. You will find endless uses for the versatile wood found on every continent. Where there is water, there is likely to be willow.
