03/19/2024 Bloomberg Television: China's securities regulator has accused China Evergrande Group of falsely inflating revenue by more than $78 billion in two years and its founder, Hui Ka-Yan, was fined 47 million yuan. In addition, Hui himself is currently under police control on criminal charges, marking the complete downfall of Evergrande, China's largest real estate company, and its founder. More companies may be implicated in the future, as Evergrande is certainly not the only one to inflate its revenue amid China's real estate crisis.
