Israel have been caught BEATING & DETAINING journalists in Gaza.

An Al Jazeera journalist amongst several others reporting from al-Shifa Hospital have been beaten and arrested by Israeli forces.
Right, so the documentation of attacks on journalists trying to cover the events happening in Gaza by Israeli forces have been amongst the most blatant examples of war crimes being committed. Journalists, prominently wearing their flak jackets, with the word PRESS emblazoned across them are supposed to be protected, yet more have died, at least 89 killed in 5 months according to a recent report by the Committee to Protect Journalists, but other sources are citing higher numbers than that, the Gaza Media Office are reporting that that figure is now up to 133. For months they have denied intentionally targeting journalists, but there’s no worming out of their latest attack on journalists, because on this occasion, they’ve stormed into their room, beaten them, detained them and left eyewitnesses alive to report on it afterwards, as well as the journalist himself once freed.
Right, so the free press, protected under international law, so they are able to report on global events, including during wartime, and although the lives of such people in those situations have been lost before, never on the scale and in the timeframe that they are being killed in Gaza, never before does it appear that a country is deliberately targeting them. In 5 months more journalists have died in Gaza, than died during the entire 6 years of World War II or the 20 years of the Vietnam War, but now we have a case of journalists being deliberately targeted, arrested, detained and beaten by Israeli forces and if they thought this was big or clever or served as a warning, they picked the wrong networks people. Because they guy they targeted works for Al Jazeera.
The attack came yesterday as once again Israeli forces attacked a hospital in Gaza, the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City in the north of the strip, already having been rendered inoperable in this conflict already, al-Shifa has been targeted by the IDF four times since October 7th each time on the basis that it is being used as a base of operations by Hamas, but that excuse has worn painfully thin now. Some 30,000 people were holed up inside, from patients to people seeking refuge still in the north, having not headed south like so many Gazans have, announcing later that they had killed or wounded several people as well as having arrested 80, which is where the testimony from Al Jazeera Arabic’s correspondent Ismail Al Ghoul comes in, having been arrested himself, along with women and young men and medical staff as well. Everyone in the building has been ordered to leave except for the ICU staff, yet as we’ve seen in other places, other hospitals, as people have tried to leave reports of them being shot at have come in as well, resulting in yet more fatalities, bodies scattered across the courtyard after the IDF had raided the place already. If they made the arrests of whoever they went in there after, then what the heck was this about?
