Former President Trump votes in the Florida GOP Primary.

Trump said America will “100 per cent” remain in Nato under his leadership as long as European countries “play fair”.

Speaking to Nigel Farage for an interview on GB News which will air on Tuesday evening Trump said he was committed to the alliance but said European nations should not “take advantage” of American support.

He said: “Nato has to treat the US fairly, because if it’s not for the United States, Nato literally doesn’t even exist.” When Farage asked if America would come to the aid of Nato countries under attack during a second Trump administration, he said: “Yeah, but you know, the United States should pay its fair share, not everybody else’s fair share.
