It seems the old adage "government is good at one thing: breaking your leg, handing you a crutch, and saying 'see without me you wouldn't be able to walk'" requires an amendment to "breaking your leg, telling you it can't afford to give you a crutch, and saying 'we can help you kill yourself instead.
