Gabi may be doing time behind bars in Statesville for Li’s murder, but Days of Our Lives alum Camila Banus has been keeping very busy as of late. The actress, who left the Salem soap back in November of 2023, took to Instagram to not only share news about her new film, Final Heist, but to give followers a sneak peek at the thriller that premieres today.

“Super proud of this!” Banus cheered then went on to say what a great time she had playing the role of Willa. “I got into acting to play, play pretend. I got to play so much in this project, it was a dream come true for me.” She closed out the post by giving her “absolutely incredible” costars and crew some much-deserved props, as well as those at the top for trusting her “with Willa.”

A couple of Banus’ former castmates gave her a shoutout, including Kate Mansi (ex-Abby; General Hospital’s Krista) who said, “There’s our girl!” as Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope) added, “Congratulations, Camila.”

The story follows Willa, who will stop at nothing to save her daughter’s life, and with the help of her old crime posse, they break into a maximum-security prison in order to get her husband’s tissue to do so. Watch the action-packed trailer to see how the ladies plan to “beat the system.”

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Camila Banus (ex-Gabi Hernandez DiMera) is tackling a new role in a thriller film called Final Heist. Since the movie is about to drop on Tubi, Banus posted the trailer on Instagram along with a message about her excitement over the project.

In the film, Banus plays a determined mother named Willa, who’s told by doctors that her daughter desperately needs a matching donor and that the girl’s father is her only chance at survival.

Willa realizes she has to get her husband’s tissue from a maximum-security prison, but that requires a little help from some old criminal friends.

The whole gang comes together to pull off one final heist and hopefully save the life of Willa’s daughter.

It definitely sounds like one of those movies that shows just how far a mom will go for the sake of her child!

If the trailer is any indication, Camila Banus is sure to deliver a powerful performance. Let’s look at what Banus had to say about Final Heist in her recent Instagram post.
