Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in intensive care.
So, today I have an email from Alicia who says,
“Hi Patrik,
My daughter is on a ventilator and the doctors are saying she can’t be weaned off the ventilator. She’s also on dialysis. They are suggesting she should do hospice care and turn off the ventilator and let her die. My daughter wants to leave. What should I do?”

Now, you haven’t checked why your daughter is on a ventilator and you haven’t checked why they are suggesting she is dying and she should go to palliative care and hospice.
