LISTEN: Supreme Court hears oral argumentson Biden administration's social media case

The Biden administration's legal battle over socialmedia content moderation reached the SupremeCourt on Monday, with the justices are set to heararguments over whether federal officials violated theFirst Amendment by urging platforms to remove poststhey deemed false or misleading.

Two Republican attorneys general brought the casein a challenge to the administration's efforts to curbmisinformation online - an effort they described as agovernment "campaign of censorship." They purportedfederal officials "coordinated and colluded" with socialmedia platforms to "identify disfavored speakers,viewpoints, and content."

At the heart of the case were attempts by the Bidenadministration to police online misinformation aboutthe legitimacy of the 2020 election and COVID-19,when doubts about vaccines ran rampant.
