The person, or people, responsible for a smash and grab that caused a stir when dozens of police uniforms went missing last week appear to have struck again. Police, fire uniforms recovered after being stolen from Detroit cleaner Early Tuesday morning a van was driven into a liquor store on the 5300 block of Tireman Avenue. Police tell 7 Action News the van used to crash into the building, and eventually steal a number of items inside, is the same van that was stolen from a dry cleaners last week. A number of items were taken in the latest smash and grab including lottery tickets, liquor and cigarettes. Police believe the crash happened around 1 a.m. It’s unclear at this time whether the thieves were captured on camera.
