A South Korean man has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for shooting and injuring a stray dog with an arrow in an apparent act of revenge for the dog allegedly killing his chickens. The incident occurred in Seogwipo, Jeju Island, in August 2022. Despite claiming he didn't expect the arrow to hit the dog, the court found the man guilty based on witness testimonies, surgical photos of the dog, and other evidence. The dog, named Cheonji, has since recovered and been adopted by an American woman in New York after being rescued.
