In 2011, I bought a book called "Robot Building for Beginners" Second Edition, by David Cook. My general assumption was that this *might* be something that I would be interested in.

I read the book, and built the robot (with some customized modifications of my own). I knew immediately, that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
