A little bit on the subject: The missionary popularly known as St Patrick was actually neither Irish nor Catholic but grew up in Roman Britain and was kidnapped as a teenager and in his desperation experienced a conversion to Christ and later took the Gospel to Ireland as an Evangelist and Missionary after a vision from God.
