Does anyone care about the US debt crisis?

There seems no end to the USA's horrendous debt cycle! A trillion extra in debt every 100 days?! What about other countries that will be effected by a financial catastrophe... shouldn't they be openly alarmed about the flow on consequences?! Apparently not.
