MERE SAPNO KI RANI

In the film, Arun Verma (played by Rajesh Khanna) sings "Mere Sapno Ki Rani" while chasing Vandana Verm (played by Sharmila Tagore). The film's director Shakti Samanta explained, that the song should have been sung by Mohammed Rafi but since he was on tour and the film makers didn't want to wait, Samanta suggested the composer, Sachin Dev Burman, to use Kishore Kumar's voice instead. The song became a great hit in India upon the film's release in 1969.
