Coast Guard Saves Four Boaters

Four boaters were rescued Sunday thanks to the help of a Good Samaritan along with the Coast Guard. Watchstanders at Coast Guard 7th District Command Center received a call from the Royal Bahamas Defense Force for assistance in the search of four people, whose vessel capsized early Sunday morning. An airplane crew on patrol was immediately diverted to assist with the search. When the crew arrived, the four boaters were found sitting on a capsized 15-foot boat. The good Samaritan bulk carrier vessel, SBI Samson, recovered all four people from the water in good condition. No injuries were reported.
