Indian Navy Warship Attacked By Somali Pirates After India's Sea Warriors Intercept Hijacked Vessel

The Indian Navy foiled Somali Pirates’ bid to use hijacked Malta-flagged bulk ship for piracy. The Malta-flagged bulk cargo vessel, Ex-MV Ruen, was hijacked by pirates on December 14. Ex-MC Ruen was apprehended by an Indian navy warship off the east coast of Somalia on March 15. As per the Indian Navy, the ship was used to conduct "acts of piracy" on the high seas. Pirates opened fire after an Indian navy warship intercepted the hijacked vessel. Meanwhile, the Navy is trying to persuade the pirates to surrender & release civilians believed to be held as hostages. Watch this to know more.
