The Official "Rain Bomb" of Lismore, oz. 2022

a tour of the city of Lismore, Australia after the devastating "rain Bomb" that produced record amount of 14.4 meters rain without any warning in February 2022. A disaster that affected the whole Northern Rivers of N.S.W. with epic landslides and flooding to which the likes have never before been seen in the area. Two years later and thousands are still homeless and fate of many homes still pending, buybacks for a very small part of residential only while the cbd rebuilds giving indication its business as usual. nothing has been addressed to flooding issues with drains in cbd flooding after just 10 mins of rain. electricity has risen 73%. rates have doubled. Rents have soared averaging $500-$1000 pw and all homes damaged are just being turned into landfill rather then local employment of house recycling, even the heritage homes but yet millions poured into rebuilding a heritage train overpass even though trains have been removed from area and all tracks are dysfunctional. one must question priorities? People are already struggling and have been hit hard yet again. Thank the Goddess for the amazing efforts all around in the community and all the volunteers by the peoples
