Dr. Peter McCullough, Chief Scientific Officer at The Wellness Company, says the health system’s orders to doctors during the COVID pandemic broke the public's trust with the medical industry. “The doctor is supposed to act in beneficence...What's in the patient’s best interest. And for the first time, doctors were pitted against that standard operating principle and what the health system told them to do,” Dr. McCullough says. “If a doctor wanted to treat a patient for COVID, but the health system said ‘no, don’t do this' or specifically ‘don’t use the available drugs that look like they’re working,' then the doctor was incredibly conflicted.”
