Haitians and analyst wary of transition council

Most of the nine people who will sit on Haiti's political transition council have been named by the groups they represent, although a couple are still pending, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Friday (March 15). But Jake Johnston with the Center for Economic and Policy Research says the council could face a "legitimacy crisis" from day one without Haitians involved in a "meaningful way." Local resident Blanc Moto said he thinks the council "is an insult to the Haitian people."
