Spelunking Porcupine - Ace in the Hole? Not This AGAIN!

Well, if they can climb trees, they can do caves as well. I won't make any phone calls this time. This is NOT a straight deep hole but has a dirt level below this one, extending into a den that is suspected to be used by mountain lions. Or was. Or not until kitten time. Took another walk over there to check for tracks and expecting nothing. Silly me. Still haven't learned to expect ANYTHING!
Truthfully, this is a backtrack after returning to see I neglected to hit the damn record button (I guess). Even then, the COOLEST thing before camera was raised happened as my shadow fell over the hole and I heard, very clearly, a 2-note animal sound I cannot try to recreate. Let me know something was in there and NOT bear or lion ... kinda cute in fact and WAITAMINUTE! That's EXACTLY the sounds the "talking porcupine" made from a zoo video link (here on YT) that let me hear one. Of course, this one refused to respond to my attempts at recreating it but wow, what a grace to now not only get close to a living porky without danger AND to hear one.
Made a sour mood day bright. Thanks again, Montana.
