Euclid police are searching for the man who allegedly fired shots during a police chase that ended in Lake County.

Police say the incident began when officers were responding to the area of East 232nd Street and Gay Street for a report of gunshots fired after an argument on March 12. After learning no one was injured, officers saw a vehicle fleeing the area at a high speed.

An Euclid police officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled, and a pursuit began.

"During the pursuit, the driver of the vehicle fired multiple gunshots out of the vehicle," Euclid police said in a press release. "Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of those shots either."

During the chase, agencies from Cuyahoga County and Lake County assisted. The pursuit ended after Wickliffe police used spike strips, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle in Willoughby Hills. The driver fled from police on foot.

Multiple law enforcement agencies searched for the suspect, who has not yet been captured.

"Officers from multiple jurisdictions set up a perimeter, Euclid K9 attempted to track the suspect, and a drone operator from Willoughby Hills did an extensive air grid search of the area. After several hours, we were unable to locate the individual," said Willoughby Hills police.
