Voters in annexed Crimea head to polls

Residents of annexed Crimea went to the polls on Thursday (March 15) to have their say on Russia’s next president, in which president Vladimir Putin is likely to win a fifth term. Russia's staging of elections in occupied territories of Ukraine is illegal and void, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday (March 14), urging international partners not to recognize the results.
