Life and career
In 1973, after the war of liberation, Sadi Mohammad was admitted to the Civil Engineering Department of KUET formerly Bangladesh Institute of Technology Khulna (BIT Khulna). However, he did not continue his studies there. He dropped out after 2 years. Later, he got a scholarship to study music at Santiniketan in 1975. After that, he took his graduation and post-graduation degrees in Rabindra Sangeet from Visva-Bharati University. There he learned music from Santidev Ghose and Kanika Banerjee.

দেশবরেণ্য সংগীতশিল্পী সাদি মহম্মদ মারা গেছেন। বুধবার সন্ধ্যায় তিনি স্বেচ্ছামৃত্যুর পথ বেছে নেন।
সাদি মহম্মদের ভাই নৃত্যশিল্পী শিবলী মহম্মদ সাংবাদিকদের জানান, বুধবার সন্ধ্যার পর হঠাৎ দেখা যায় তার ঘরের দরজা বন্ধ। কিছুক্ষণ পর দরজা ভেঙে তাকে মৃত অবস্থায় উদ্ধার করা হয়। গত বছরের ৮ জুলাই মা জেবুন্নেছা সলিমউল্লাহ মারা যান। এর পর থেকে মানসিকভাবে স্বাভাবিক ছিলেন না। মা হারানোর বেদনা সম্ভবত তিনি নিতে পারেননি।
