Former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren weighs in on how Israelis will react to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) criticisms of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “I think the people that are against Netanyahu will grasp onto this and use this to further try to delegitimize him, to bring him down...They’ll say that Netanyahu is jeopardizing Israeli’s security by being in office,” Oren says. “Those who support Netanyahu will rally more swiftly around him, more tightly around him, feeling that he is being beat up upon by Americans.”
