Founder of SEAL Team 6, Dick Marcinko, sat down with Brandon Webb for an exclusive interview. According to Dick, after leaving SEAL Team 6, he returned to the Pentagon to create “Red Cell.” He initially handpicked several former SEAL Team 6 operators who would be asked to think like the terrorists they had been fighting for over the past two years.

Red Cell was a dynamic program that exploited base and facility vulnerabilities that might have otherwise been taken advantage of by potential terrorists. Dick Marcinko said that their analysis was a more realistic assessment of how the unit or facility would actually react to a terrorist attack than simple drills.
