Seeds are dredged to prepare them for successful sowing. Each seed is covered with a shell that contains fertilizers, growth stimulants, fungicides and insecticides. As the seed germinates, the embryo receives all the nutrition it needs while being protected from disease and pests.
Pros
✅ Seeds receive additional nutrition and become almost invulnerable to unfavorable environmental factors. Therefore, the germination of planting material is higher
✅ Granulated small seeds are easier to sow. As a result, sprouts are neat and you don't have to thin out your plantings too much.
✅ Shelled seeds are fully ready for planting.
Cons
❌ Short shelf life. They will not be able to keep germinating for several years, 1-2 years at most.
❌ If there is not enough moisture, the water-soluble shell will linger on the seed too long and germination will be impaired. And if the seedling does germinate, some of the undissolved shell may prevent it from developing.
