"Flee sexual immorality! Every other sin a person commits is outside the body but the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body. Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought at a price. So glorify God with your body."

- 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

When it comes to proper Bible interpretation, there are two paramount keys in doing so. The first is context. It is looking at the surroundings of a verse, to ensure that it isn't manipulated to mean something else.

Every pseudo-Christian group takes verses and manipulates them to their own ends. In fact the importance of the 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, has always been used by fringe groups like the Seventh Day Adventist. The link below goes into detail as to how they use this Passage improperly.

It wasn't until the late 20th century did the trend to include having a healthy lifestyle become commonplace. Prior to that, most people didn't believe it mattered what one ate.

Yet if this holds to be true, then one has to take this position of the body being the Temple of the Holy Spirit; going beyond being sexually pure and encompassing a healthy lifestyle; to its logical conclusion. That being doing everything that's healthy, not just eating.

One would have to adjust how they like to live and adapt to whatever is healthy. For those that hold to such conviction, here's things to implement:
