CHP pilot locates and lands helicopter to rescue missing elderly man and dog from his truck

Late last night, H-30 responded to assist the Solano County Sheriff in searching for a missing elderly person who was considered to be "at risk". He was reported to be missing since 10 am.

After a lengthy search, H-30 located the missing man and his dog in rural Dixon. H-30 landed and assisted the missing man and his dog into H-30 and flew them to the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, where first responders were staging. Both the missing man and his dog appeared to be uninjured.

The Solano Sheriff Office is investigating.
