Combined Civil Service Examination Group-II (TNPSC)

The TNPSC Combined Civil Service Examination-II (CCEII) is held to select candidates for TNPSC civil services and TNPSC Group-II exams.
I. Steps/Stages in the Selection Process of Group II:
The Group II exams take place in three ways:
Preliminary Exam:
1. They conduct exams in an Objective type or multiple-choice question (MCQ) format.
• The exam has a total of 300 marks, and the minimum passing score is:
– The candidate has to score 90 marks.
2. There is no negative marking.
Main Exam & Interview for Group-II:
1. The exam will be in a written format.
2. It is of two papers:
3. Paper I :
– General English/Tamil (40/100) marks.
4. Paper II – General Studies-(102/340) marks.
5. The Interview allocates 40 marks. Those selected for the main exams receive a call for an interview.
